Chemsitry

My chemistry major has provided me with a strong foundation in chemical reactions and applications, as well as valuable laboratory skills and experience, positioning me to pursue diverse career paths in various industries.

Biology

My minor in biology has been beneficial for me as it deepened my understanding of how chemistry interacts with biological processes and systems. It also provided me with valuable lab skills and experience that translate well to my work in chemical research settings.

Patience

I have learned the value of patience through careful attention to detail and a persistent approach to problem-solving in the laboratory. These skills have taught me the importance of patience in scientific research and in life.

Experimental Techniques

This includes lab work such as Gas Chromatography, IR/UV-Vis Spectroscopy, analytical analysis, and root-cause analysis, among others. Additionally, my experience in quality control has deepened my understanding of experimental techniques and their application in ensuring product quality and compliance with industry standards.

Scanning Electron Microscopy 

​My knowledge of how to use an SEM has provided me with a valuable skill set that is highly sought after in various fields, particularly in materials science and engineering, and has given me an edge in my academic pursuits and career prospects.

Communication

As a chemistry major, I honed my communication skills by presenting complex chemical concepts and quality control processes to diverse audiences and collaborating effectively with colleagues. These experiences have enhanced my ability to convey information clearly and work collaboratively, making me a more effective communicator—an invaluable skill in the quality assurance field.
